AAAAHHHHHHHHGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!
I want my CAR!!!!!!!!!
The bloke I sold the Clio to is breathing down my neck for an exchange and he's sending the money over today so I'll be carless come the weekend :(
And I want my MINI, I keep bothering the girl at the dealership to see where it is in the production line and she can't give me any details. The sooner I get it the sooner I can get it run in and start having fun :D
In the meantime I can borrow my father in laws Metro Nightfire but I'll have to insure it myself or leave the Clio insurance running and drive it on the 3rd party part of my policy.
Also does anyone know about changing insurance company mid policy? I have a while left to run with Elephant but the policy of Admiral is so much cheaper for the MINI can I get a refund?

When I changed car they were able to adjust my premium mid year. As in changing companies mid year - I doubt they'll be friendly about it - you might not clock up your years NCD for that year...
Hope you get your toy soon! I want a spin in it! :D

bah quit your complaining, when you have to play with a 1L 45bhp polo come back and see me :p
I'm really interested in what your mini will be like, i've been a passenger in one of my friends one's when its been given some stick and that thing went. He promised that I could have a go later so i'll be taking him up on that offer :)
We'll have to have a race Monsieur MB! :D

With your turbo properly dialed in I have no doub that you would win, your car is better balanced and being FR a better car for racing tbh. I am also a crap racing driver and too precious about my new baby and we haven't even got her yet. Lastly I'll be carrying a lot of balast!

If you pay me, I'll sit in with Will as a passenger ;)
Didn't you quote the wrong person, btw? :D

:adminpower: ;)
We'll see about the speed she'll need a bit of running in before I can test her out properly, I still think Will's MX5 will be faster but the MINI will be a good compromise she has 3/4 seats and all mod cons :)

Yeah that is something that is nice is that you have decent power but toys and comfort. :) Still I'll grow up sometime and get something more sensible... maybe :p
I am keen to see it now - I reckon you'll be able to pull it off - you're big and macho enough to ;)
Unlike me who still looks like a big hairy poof in my car - though Rich_L did make the car ooze a bit more masculinity on the way to Wales ;) :D
We'll all have to get together when I get the R32 :)

LOL
The woman from MINI just called to tell me the car is here \o/
Two minutes later she calls me again to tell me it isn't
The administrator normally gives her the docs when the car arrives so she can sort out the paperwork, shes got a new admin person who thinks that it would be more efficent to get things done in advance :undecided:
So, no car yet :'(

Woooooo!
You may find that your insurers will pay back what's left of the policy minus 2-3 months worth that they pocket straight after the cooling off period, you will also most likely lose your NCD for the year. All the details should be in the fine print of your policy.
Probably worth ringing them and letting them know the deal and see what they'll offer to keep you as a customer - also what it will cost in cancellation fees (the 2-3 months of money) and NCD so you can add that onto the other quote and see which works out better for you
Hopefully yours is now at the "dousing with water and driving round a roundabout 23 times" stage and will be with you soon :)

I called today and they only want another £40 till Feb of next year so I'll just stay with Elephant and play the quote game again next year when they ram up my premium again!

ahh good to hear - I stayed with Churchill for a second year, though I did happen to move house at pretty much the same time and re-applied from that address and getting myself a really good "new customer" bonus :D
