I wish it were so. I think I'm about to crawl back into bed. This dry weather has sent the local pollen count into overdrive and the only relief I've had so far is a darkened room and an air filter. :(

Aww sorry to hear you aren't having a good day. I'm stuck indoors too, my dads come to cut the grass, mums tidying the house, and I'm just glad I don't have hay fever to contend with too :D Going to rain later so that might help the pollen count :)

The bed sorted me a bit, then I decided to stop feeling sorry for myself and get out there in the big wide world.

Typically I don't do anything special - it's just a normal day but with a few cards to open. Usually spent at home.

So, with that in mind, I decided that for a nice change of scenery this year I'd try al fresco dining at the local pub. Still on my own sadly but at least the food was nice.

All this has put me in the mood to consider what to do for my 40th. Something special seems like the correct answer, and BD will be invited. Somehow.

Was it proper whisky?
If you mean 'was it B***s', then the answer is absolutely not. Don't recall the brands (which is annoying as one of them I might have got on with eventually) but it was tasters in the highlands in a proper whisky shop. I do also know they were all single malt.
