They're all about the same price, which should i choose for compatibility, or does it matter?

Silicon Image - SIL0680
Some random Maxtor which I'm not entirely sure what it uses...
Promise - PDC 20269
Generic brand "Ultra" (i think).

I'm assuming it's between the SIL and the PDC? :) The promise TX2 i can get from the UK (as opposed to HK) which I'd rather do really.

In other news this is me still trying to the get this dammed server to behave. I don't quite know why yet but the server seems to have stopped playing around and totally hard locking, i think it may be thanks to a memory change, but I'm sure it did it under this memory last time.... Looks like WHS may need a reinstall though, it hasn't taken lightly to hard locking all the time ;D Backup service refuses to run, the registry seems to have corrupted and won't let me install the power pack (which is pretty important if i don't want data loss... (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/946676/en-us)). Woe is me...

Just as long as you avoid anything related to Highpoint (like that card you're using now), you'll probably see an improvement. :)

:D Cooooool Actually that s**** highpoint card is fine it seems, as long as its not using its own converters, or the dodgy power cable. To be fair on it. I just need to plug in some more PATA drives, and i'm sick to the back teeth of the "we'll work when we feel like it" highpoint SATA-PATA converters...
