View Full Version : I did the passing of exams!!
Hurrah I did it!!!
I was really worried about my last three exams as I haven't taken three exams since A levels many years ago, and they were also hard, having things in that hadn't been examined before.
Just got my results, a day early as normal and I passed all three!
Hurray, I'm now qualified and can get a job that pays more! I can also look into going into tutoring, which is what I really want to do.
About time I had something nice happen to me too. Been having a bad time lately.
ooooh yay!!!!!
what were your exams for?
AAT, three years of study and I'm all done, yay!
Bloody well done Vix! I know how hard people work for this :):)

Thanks everyone.
Sorry for the blatant 'Go me!' post but I'm genuinely surprised and chuffed :)
If anyone fancies coming round to celebrate, just name a day :D
AAT, three years of study and I'm all done, yay!
whats AAT :o me = thick
It's an accounting qualification. I now have letters after my name which stand for Member of the Association of Accounting Technicians.
I'm basically a glorified bookkeeper, and I have been for years but it's nice to have the paperwork to match the experience, and hopefully I can now teach it too.
AAT = Association of Accountancy Technicians.
Congratulations Vix, I remember all the hard work mum had to put in to her exams to get her qualifications. She doesn't regret it for one bit, they gave her unparalleled opportunities that she hadn't had before.

Thats a difficult exam :) Well done! I did a course of accountancy last year. It was not easy!
I'm currently going through my exams again this year, and i'm not feeling one bit confident. I don't know what happens if (when :p) i fail again now, quite worried about it. Depressing and stressing me out! :(

Congrats. :D Was also going to ask what AAT meant. Was then going to choose from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aat at random and saw "Congrats on passing some exams in Aquatic Ape Theory!" ;D
Stay confident Alex. I was convinced I'd fail at least one of these. I had trouble revising as my heart wasn't in it, had a sprint just before exam week too.
The first exam decided not to follow the way past papers have gone, which never happens, and I had a migraine for the last exam. I'm still a little in shock that I have passed.
The exams are in 2 sections and you have to pass both to get a pass. My friend passed section 1 in all three but failed all section 2's. She's gutted :/
Aquatic Ape Theory! Probs would have been easier :P

Everyone keeps on telling me to stay confident and I'll do better than i think. But honest to god if i had a chance of passing both of these next two exams (I'll hopefully pass one) i would say so, or not say anything and not moan about like i am! I'm not generally pessimistic, this is realism! I'll do them see how it goes, and go talk to my DoS. But i can't afford to retake a year. I'm getting old and getting into more debt. It's time i join the real world if i have to retake a year! Boo hoo... I just don't know where I'm going in life atm, except bumming around and partying (which is fun, but expressedly useless).

Go You & Congratulations from Me :)
I was optimistic about them until I'd sat them and then I really wasn't confident :(
Just try your best Alex, and if it's no good then you will be forced to do something else :)

:) Cheers Vix, thats basically how i'm looking at it, fork in my life thing, maybe (probably) my fault but i certainly can't stop it now :p Thats how i'm trying to approach it. I just sense my parents will want me dead. They get back off holiday and the first thing they'll ask me is how did the exams go. Telling them **** isn't going to get a great reaction! Although i know they will be supportive, as they always are, they'll still be pretty pissed. As would I if i saw my son stuff it up at uni, by probably having *too* much of a good time... Right i'm derailed this topic enough thus i end here! That and i'm going over stuff for tomorrow so i shouldn't even be on here! =/
Nice one, well done lady :)
