I seem to remember seeing some pics of Leons manta with some rather suspect looking paste covering the rust. This in turn then ate the rust and could then be prepped for spraying. Can anyone remember the name of this?

Sure I could have been boring and just asked in a pm, but I thought this might bring a smile on a rather dull and boring weds afternoon :)

Just checked his thread and in the first post he defiantly claims there is no rust so you must be thinking of a different thread ;D

There's some in the thread titled 'Oh my God, what the hell have I bought yet again!?' on OcUK. I don't know the different names of the stuff he used in it or what they do though. Just resembles car bukkake.

Nitromors is just a superstrong paint remover iirc.

I'm pretty sure you're thinking of Bilt Hamber Deox Gel. Comes in a blue container, looks like spunk and removes rust :)

And it was on his 205GTi. There is no, I repeat NO rust on the Manta :p :D

There is a little bit of rust on the Manta - but it's a secret.

DeOx Gel is the spunk, cover it with clingfilm and leave overnight for the best results

Nitromors is just a paint stripper to clean the area first

You can also get DeOx-C which is powder you mix with water, leave bolts etc in it overnight to get them free of rust.

www.bilthamber.com (they are in Billericay)
