My trusty flatmate brought to my attention, a couple of days ago, that the Durham branch of CAMRA are holding a beer festival this weekend so we're tootling off there this afternoon to drink twiggy beer and cider.

If I'd known about it sooner, I would have invited others to partake of the delights of the North East's finest ales but alas, two days notice isn't much time to organise a trip to the cold North for most of you. If anybody is in the area and fancies a beer with us, please make yourselves known :)

Unfortunately, I negelcted to send my membership renewal form off in time so I've lapsed and will have to pay the £1.50 entry fee :(

Edit: Certain members should expect MMS's with pictures of beer and burgers at some point :p

Yeah. One expects them to run short on a few beers towards the end but I've never been to one which ran out completely. I was quite literally the last person in the place with a full pint - only because Kelly insisted on using my last two tokens and her glass to double up.

On a side note, I felt the need to relieve myself on the way back to the train station and went behind some bushes......






....... Kilt + stinging nettles = :( (thankfully, only my knees).
