Hi,
does any one know of a charity that collects old PC / furniture.
I have a 23'' TV CRT, and a 17'' CRT Monitor, as I can not sell them or even give them any unless they are flat screens !
Many thanks
Thanks to WEEE you may even have trouble with charities.
Try your local Freecycle group.

I have an old CRT that needs getting rid of as well. I don't have a car atm as well and as it turns out it's a bloody pain in the rear to get rid of. :/
Same. I have a 19" CRT and 20" TV. Both need to go.

Our local council takes those things at the recycling centre.
Failing that there are some charities that take thses things and send them on to Africa.

It would be - it'll get recycled for road mating ;)
I've never paid for a TV. People are so fickle that a flatscreen is going to change their life or improve their social standing something. It's madness.
Take it to the dump and add it to the massive pile of good tellies there.
Hmm interesting, have a half-knackered 21" CRT and a knackered 37" widescreen CRT taking up space (a LOT of space!) in my cupboard.
Just done a bit of research, apparently the council will pick them up for free  Nice to know my council tax goes on something useful, lol!

They'll pick them up?
Useless Liverpool council. The only thing that comes round knocking at our door is a fat, lippy, post-menopausal, argumentative, middle aged woman around election time.
Yeah, I was quite surprised! Might be worth checking your council waste disposal website (Haringey are min http://www.haringey.gov.uk/index/environment_and_transport/refuseandrecycling/refuse/bulkyitems.htm)
Just leave it outside, book a collection, job done!
Try millrace IT as they're local :)
