Is it possible to RDP to Windows 2000?

As per the subject. I want to move my mail/web box out of this room and access it remotely. It's running Windows 2000 Professional.

Yes, install terminal services in 'adminstration' mode, not 'application server mode' when prompted. The 2000 equivalent (license and functionality wise) of what they now call remote desktop - 2 concurrent connections max on server.

[edit]Sorry, read that as server (force of habit :o). There's no RDP server in 2000 pro, only the server editions.

Hmm, that's going to make it interesting. I've not yet found a good VNC client for OS X.

Hmm, I looked at that before but it wasn't good, it seems very old, 2006, or is there a more recent update?

Nope, that's the most recent version. It isn't great but it's the best OS X VNC client I've found.

It's working, it's not the best but it's doing the job and my old PC is now under the stairs. The only problem is that it needs a keyboard in it to boot (yes, I've checked the bios) so I need to see if I can find a sort of keyboard emulator in a plug that I can plug in it to make it think it's got a keyboard connected.

A little KVM would do it if you had one of those kicking around. Wonder if the PS2/USB adapter jobbies would?

No, adapters won't work - they just move pins around and don't contain the processor that would be required to respond correctly to the BIOS probe. If you can't configure the BIOS not to halt on these errors, then the KVM option is a good'un. Searches suggest there may be some plug-in device that'll achieve the same results, but no actual evidence of such.

Keyboard emulator adapters do exist, I bought a few of them in Arizona a few years back to stop a few headless boxes getting upset.

I think they've all been disposed of now, but I'll see tomorrow and if there is one I'll let you know Feekles.

I found a company who does them, and dummy mouse ones as well here (http://www.multibug.co.uk/keyboard_dummy.html). I'm going to order one of each.
