They were trying to get me drunk after work yesterday, and failing miserably, particularly when they resorted to spirits. I imagine Stan can handle spirits significantly better than I do, but as a regular whisky drinker it takes more than a few shots of Tequila to affect me. Mean while all around those that were drinking it with me were showing very adverse affects from it ;D

My playlist from tonight as it finished up:

Some tracks on there I've not heard before, like Dancing In The Moonlight, which I've just listened to. Quality tuneage. *queues up the rest on Grooveshark*

Same, but then I only caught the end. I'm used to recording Shoutcast streams so can soon set up a recording if needed.

Gimme a bit more warning next time and I'll see what I can do. Can't promise to do it regularly but if I'm around then I'm sure I can deal with specific requests.

BD shoutout. Piggymon shoutout too. \o/

PS - if you're monitoring the server, don't worry about the two connections from the same IP. That's me. Hope I'm not raping your bandwidth too badly. :)

Not at all, I'm actually downloading stuff from it at 2.4MB/s atm so no worries there :D

Just out of curiosity... why have you got two streams running? ;)

Mark
14-09-2008, 00:24
One listening, one recording. Different software. I can guarantee no processing on the recorded stream by doing that as the recorder knows nothing about mp3 files.

I've recorded the whole show and will do till it ends, and will stick it on mms://blighter.net/SPSRadioArchive with the other one ;)

Cool. Glad to hear you've got recording working as last I heard you hadn't. If you have any trouble with your recording let me know and I'll up mine. Otherwise I'll probably edit (for size) and keep it for myself if no-one objects.

Yea cool, feel free to record future ones as I'm not always around, and the auto-record isn't 100% great :p

that was saturdays show, (the 1hr 45 min one that starts with a fatboy slim remix as there are 2 shows on the archive the shorter being from a sunday a few weeks back)

tbh i was a bit worse for wear when i did that (saturday) lol. i felt that fridays show was a lot better and really enjoyed the member participation on here :)

I doubt they'd be so lax with the relevant legalities, they don't allow mix MP3s to be posted, so I can't imagine they'd allow this.

Copyright. Technically in the UK you need a public performance license (or whatever it is now called) to do what you do. Cost around £120 I believe.

But the server isn't in the UK ;)

Mark

I'm not sure that's relevant, since both the source and listeners are.
