View Full Version : Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!
The relaxing sound of me slouching into my lazyboy chair, pint of cold cold hobgoblin ale, little issue of cashews following an afternoon's successful fishing from the riverbank in the sun.
Dinner is cooking (a hearty steak and ale pie!) and tonight I intend on doing solely bugger all! :D
For today... has been a good day :) How's the weekend been for the rest of you BD folks?
James
Faysh-lom family have been to silverstone with Mejinks :D
Was a great day, sun was out and they kids were laughing and running around like nutters as we were watching the loooooud cars :D
Home, fed and about to be bathed and then we are all off to bed :D Ahhhhhhhhh indead.
So how many fish did you cathch?
Had a date on Saturday night, went to see a filum too. Car broke down at 0130, was home by 0300.
Spent most of today under my car.
Yesterday was pretty crap but today was nice :)
Me and my Mum went for a walk around the local marina to see what new developments are being built around the area and to watch the boats go by. Then we went to Nandos for a late lunch, which was made possible by the donations of friends on here last month. Little treats like that really do make things a little bit easier for us both and cheers us up. :) So thanks for that those who know wtf I'm going on about. :)

Yesterday i went to an open door day around Midlothian and went to Arniston House (http://www.arniston-house.co.uk/) and got a tour from Henrietta Dundas who lives there. Which was nice. Then today i went to Dobbies with mum and my sister, and i got a hat. Now i've just finished my sunday dinner and am enjoying watching the dogs playing about and having a rest.

On the bright side, my abs are getting a good workout from all the sneezing ;D
So how many fish did you catch?
6 Roach of notable size, (god knows how many more of 'ickle' size) and a cheeky Jack Pike who tried to steal meh fisheh when winding him in! (Although I'm told that doesn't count as two!).
To be honest, it's not about the fish for me, they are a bonus sure but give me any sunny afternoon sat next to a nice river and I'll enjoy it :)

I never thought I'd say this, but thank goodness for the inclusion of the word "Snotty". ;D
Yesterday I got up at 6am, left the house by 7am to go to this (http://www.romseyshow.co.uk/) to help steward the rat show in the small animals tent. Got home about 7pm, jeans were muddy up to my knees, my throat was sore from all the talking (rattie PR) and my arms and shoulders ached from carrying tanks and rats about all day - no rosettes for my boys but I had a brilliant time :D Had chinese for dinner as I had no energy to cook.
Today I had a nice lay in, did some washing, was planning on doing it all and getting washing up done and stuff but ended up having to go round mics mothers this afternoon. Just nomming bacon, cheesey scrambled eggs and toast now :)
This weekend has been a mixed bag. Up early yesterday to get sorted for the first game of the season (Under 7's) to find half the kit was missing. Madness ensued until 10.00 am. Nice journey to Winwick(Otherside of Warrington) only to loose 3 parents who thought we were playing in North Wales rather than North Warrington. We ened up getting beat 5-1, Kids were gutted. Then Utd got beat 2-1 (Less said about that the better)
Today was marginally better. Windows decided not to play at all so I have spent most of the day trying to reinstall Vista. In between that, been to Mothercare and Babies R Us looking at some new stuff for the Nursery. I am sure that every single family was out in the two very stores today. Alexander decided he wanted Risotto for tea, so an epic journey around 4 supermarkets ensued. Asda, Morrisons and Sainsburys were out which left Tesco. Got home to find the chicken had not defrosted. Off to the freezer for the last bag of Quorn piec............Mince. No pieces which meant no Rissotto. So a rather bland weight watchers curry for me and Pizza with home made wedges and salad for Sarah & Alexander.
Other than these minor mishaps, not bad weekend at all

Got shepherded to Cardiff by the police yesterday to watch Bristol City play, a good day out inspite of the "bubble."
Today I waited for the sky plus man to come and fit my sky plus, spent the next hour randomly pausing and rewinding the tv just because I darn well could. :D
Parents popped in to deliver the dishwasher I have inherited from my late Grandad, only a ickle one, but when its all plumbed in I will be a happy lady!
Went to do my shopping, Mum kind of knows about my current financial troubles, so she gave me a tenner towards my food shop.....unfortunately when I took my list out of my pocket, I also managed to lose the tenner. I reported it to the shop staff, they took my details, but they said I would be highly unlikely to see it again.
This got me thinking would I hand in money I found lying on the floor in a shop, even if it was just a tenner....I decided I definitely would yes due to how I now feel having lost one - ok its "only" a tenner but that was about half of my weekly shop I could have saved this week
So mostly a good weekend, apart from losing a very much needed tenner.
Grrrr!
This weekend has been sexeh time!
Yesterday I dragged the bloke to see Wall-e which he liked, and I blubbed through. Again. He was very good and sat until I'd pulled myself together again after the credits.
Today I saw him off at the station. And blubbed. Again. Won't be seeing him for 2 weeks. :(
As mentioned above, I went to watch the racing at Silverstone and got cooked to a crisp. Seriously, I look like I have been standing inside Chernobyl :o.
Had a fantastic day with lovely people and seriously got the horn over some really nice exotica like Zondas, DB7+9 and watching an Audi R8 and an RS6 battle it out with a Corvette C5 and to top it all off, watched in awe the flight of the magnificent Vulcan XH558. Ahhh, what more could I ask for. Well happy.
Been up to this that and the other this weekend. Nothing too specific, just general sorting stuff out, fiddling on guitar and so on. Played electric again at church this morning.. I am so not a lead guitarist, not at all, not even slightly. Decidedly average playing, though one song went quite well from my end of things.
Other than that I've been carrying on with watching Babylon 5 (Season 4, and I think it's disc 3 just finished, so that'll be posted back to lovefilm tomorrow.)
Been playing a bit of Magic The Gathering Online again, not played it in ages. Having to catch up on some of the new abilites and rules, and discovering my deck is harder to use succesfully. Generally winning matches, but I've been coming across some extremely bizarre but effective tactics.

Today I have mainly been here (http://www.lotus60thanniversary.com/)
Ah, long day stuck in a warehouse for 8 hours, doing nothing, from 8 till 10 pm just chatted and drank tea only 6 weeks till the place shuts forever.

Now i'm researching kittens and planning what i'm doing tomorrow evening.
Ragdolls Blackstar ;)
Yesterday (Saturday) I felt like death and spent some time in A&E. All fixed and sent home to rest, thus avoiding a day working at Harlow. This part of the day was a Good Thing. Slept all day. Took kitten to vets as he has the start of conjunctivitus. He has gloop to go in his eye.
Today (Sunday). Felt 100% better if a bit washed out. Spent the morning doing house stuff, generally nagging people to clear up their toot and making people do homework. Went shopping for a coat for daughter no 1, a memory stick for daughter no 1 and a bike brake for daughter no 2. Bought them all MaccyDs for a nice whilesome Sunday lunch :D
Work at 3pm...hummed and haaaaaed as to whether I should go but I'm AOK. Glad I did, great shift. Bit of argy bargy and did some Good Deeds.
Home now and trying not to think about the school run in a few hours.

Saturday, messed about doing bits of housework, did some washing, started packing ready for going to work on Tuesday. Watched a bit of telly, had a mahoosive steak and some wine for supper and played a bit of Unreal Tournament. Didn't get to bed until gone 2.
Sunday, got up late did some more washing, watched Neverending Story on the telly. Went to Laus (chinese buffet) with Kelleeeeeeeeeee, then went to pictures to see Hellboy 2, then went for a couple of drinks, came back home and watched old episodes of Drop The Dead Donkey into the wee small hours.
Faysh-lom family have been to silverstone with Mejinks :D
