View Full Version : Meat cook books?
has anyone got any awesome meat cook books. either meat in general or from a certain animal. HWere it explains different cuts, what they are good for what to do. What you should be looking and of course recipes. But something really in depth about the cuts and uses and techniques.
Although I don't have a lot of time for Jamie Oliver as a celebrity chef, his books are some of a high standard. I got Cook with Jamie: My Guide to Making You a Better Cook (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Cook-Jamie-Guide-Making-Better/dp/0718147715/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1221683452&sr=8-2). There is a pretty good section on the various animals and the cuts of meat you should look out for. As you would expect there are quite a recipes of varying complexity and taste.
Aye, I was going to mention that, a friend has it and it has a good amount of info in it about cuts and such, along with some decent looking recipes.
Has Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall put out a book re the series about using the whole animal?

Best bet is to see if there are any in the library or your local bookshop really. Library is great because you can take it home and try it out for a few weeks.

Yeah, I wish bookshops where huge warehouses. They never have anything decent in them.
