Some robbing mother****er decided my car was ripe for the taking.

Cue DRZ being one 325i short of a car to get to work (and pending interviews etc) in.

Seething.

Problem is, its been stolen so thats WEEKS of waiting for the insurance to pay out (IF they pay out, knowing what insurers are like!) and I have absolutely NOTHING to buy even a banger with. If I wasn't so pissed off, I'd cry.

Have you reported it to the Police? It may be recovered.

I can offer you a cheap RugWash of your whole house if it makes you smile a bit....?

Got in from the studio at about 9 with some food, ate said food and watched some TV and then went to get my laptop out of the boot, probably about 11 by that time.

Car was gone :(

Jeez, thats a bit worrying. Knowing insurance companies though, it could be a very long time before you see any money from them, I've had my own battles with them you see.

What kind of alarm was on there?

Just dropped by to add a big sad face.

Just don't give in with the insurance dude. The car is worth between £1200 and £1500. Don't accept any less, and hopefully after your excess you might still have enough to buy a runabout :(.

Baxtards!.

I need to Manchester-proof my new car. I might be able to park it in a secure car park but then again I might not and its fairly far away...

Is hanging out my window with a rifle OK these days?

How about one of these (http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/New-Professional-Wheel-Clamp-Car-Caravan-KCK2_W0QQitemZ130256232838QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item 130256232838&_trkparms=39%3A1|66%3A2|65%3A3|240%3A1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14) on it? Won't be taking it anywhere then, plus it looks like you've been naughty anyway ;D

where is the mains power coming from smart arse?? Are they going to knock on the door of the nearest building and go "sorry to bother you but my car has been clamped, can you please allow me to use your power to free it?" :p

Sounds like you've being having a bit of a hard time chap - When I was going through a series of rough patches my good mate always used to remind me that "tough times build character"...

... It used to get on my wick a little at the time but now I can look back on the situation and I realise that things could be worse and you'll be alright soon enough :)

Chin up bud :)

Good question actually. I've never had a car stolen so don't know for sure, but I would assume you will lose it, along with a deduction of your excess from any money they pay out.

Which is why I cant afford to claim :(
