View Full Version : 'Dance' game for the Wii
Yo
Have decided to get my daughter a Wii for Christmas. It is family orientated, she is 14 and does not like killing things.
Now, I am torn between getting her the Wii Fit thing or some sort of dance game. Has anybody any suggestions? She does love a boogie and it would be good for her fitness. So will the Wii Fit though!
What shall I get? I know nothing about consoles so therefore a bit of a lost soul :'(
Bear in mind she does not have 'net access as her mum refuses to get it for some reason. I could always get content at mine somehow...

I don't know about WiiFit, would she take it the wrong way?
I would personally go for Samba Di Amigo, purely because way back when on the Dreamcast it was amazing and it *should* translate well to the Wii (using both controllers as maraccas). But it's not a dancing game more than it is a music game akin to the Guitar Hero games (although I did find it knackering!)

You brought your daughter up to not like killing things? You fail as a father.
;D
Dancing Stage: Hottest Party for the Wii? Comes with dance mat. If you liked Dancing Stage/Dance Dance Revolution on other consoles I imagine it's more of the same.
How about Boogie (http://www.gametrailers.com/game/4591.html), it's a dancing and singing game Trailer (http://www.gametrailers.com/player/21386.html)
Do not get this, it is absolutely awful, the "dancing" constitutes waving the wiimote vertically or horizontally in time to the music, that's it.
And the singing part is pretty lame too, singstar is it not.

She is not overweight or anything. Quite the opposite in fact. I have had a look at Samba De Amigo as it gets 'okay' reviews and also looks a little trippy.

I tried her on Crysis but it was not her scene . She does like SWKOTOR and Dungeon Siege though. Maybe an RPG type game will go down well. Some Zelda type thing or Animal Crossing? I have not got a clue
