Right, need to get myself some cans, and I'll be pressing the buy button on these today (after umming and ahhing for months)

I've got a budget of about £100 give or take a few, and there's one pair I have in mind for price bracket...

Beyerdynamic DT-990 Pro's

I've not heard a single bad thing about these, and I've been told they'll last and last and last.

Does anyone else have any input on whether these are the pair to get, I'm sure Penski has a pair of these.
Or whether another pair in the £100 price range would be better.

Cheers

SINC.

I've got 931s. their predecessor. They will last and last...Try and sneak a listen at a local hifi emporium to make sure they're for you though :)

I've got some Beyer Dynamic DT531's that I had in the mid 80's.
They're used every day and still going strong.
They cost me £140 back then.

I've got an incredibly old pair of 16 Ohm Beyer Dynamic DT100s. The foam covering over the transducers has long since turned to powder and drifted away but they still work perfectly. :)

I would certainly recommend Beyer Dynamics
