Hopefully someone else with have a more sensible answer. :)

Just cover it with a tarp or opaque ground liner. Give it some time and it will all die off.

Zero light will kill grass and just about anything else too. Weedkiller's nasty, expecially if you want to grow anything afterwards and I wouldn't use it if there's any chance you want to grow some veg for example, not that you're really the veg growing type of course ;)

well, im gonna just sheet it off and stone it up with some 20 mm gravel or similar, lazy, no maintenance, for the win

i read on a google search that jeyes fluid watered down will kill the lot :D

but its bad for cats .... ah well ;)

Jeyes will work too - I use it for my driveway but putting into your soil can't be good - definitely try the sheeting first if you've got it anyway.

Jeyes fluid is bad for dogs too.

it is bad for animals that absorb water threw there feet, so i presume dogs and cats are the same in this respect ?

I don't know really

It doesn't sound nice stuff to put into the ground though.

And sugar. 50/50 mix. A bit like thermite but a LOT easier to light ;)

Straight petrol works wonders. Just use generous amounts of "No Smoking" signs.

Well even I can't argue with that :)

I've got another idea anyway - how about a goat? That's the eco-friendly way ;)

No, but it will eat around the dog dirt so you can easily find it and dispose of it :)

Lots of little grass-encircled piles of dog-dirt...

Of course, if the goat eats a load of grass, you then end up with a load of manure.
