View Full Version : Shakeabout
I was out with my sister & nephew earlier and we decided to try out the new milkshake shop in Liverpool One. Its basically Starbucks but for milkshakes. Now we saw their display of sweets and figured that they were to buy. They weren't. They were the flavours. All the flavours of a sweet shop available as a milkshake. Oreos, jammie dodgers, marmite (!?!), twix, double decker, refreshers (!!!), choc muffin, strawberry cheese cake, any cadburys bar like a curly wurly, creme egg, m&ms, everything! I got me a caramel dairy milk milkshake and its about the finest drink ever made. Starbucks just lost a customer. Its also nice that the girl there is as cute as a cute thing serving milkshake, but I'm 85% there for the shake... and the drink...
Oooh that sounds delicious :D
Liverpool One's by the dock isn't it? If not, I apologise, my Liverpool geography is shocking :o
It is. Its just across the road from Albert Dock. Top floor by the Odeon if you're ever in that area. Highly recommended.
Good stuff :D Place me and my Mum are staying at in January is there :D
You must have posted at the same time as me :D
Should I really say if they did? ;) www.shakeabout.co.uk lists their flavours but not locations.

There's been a Shakeaway in Soton for several years - t'is sooo yum - I usually end up with something chocolate/bananary :)
Been to one of these on a day out somewhere with some BD'ers, pretty sure it was Brighton. Can't remember what I had, but I do know it was loaded with chocs and was proper nice :D
:O I'm gonna have to come to Liverpool just to try this!
Pics of the girl serving?
I was so very close to asking for a quick photo. I mean, super cute girl with a lovely smile handing you THE best drink ever. Whats not to like? I've spent half the day thinking up new combos. I shall treat myself later this week.
Shakeaway in Bournemouth too!
My Uni/school/work summers used to involved:
Bus trip to Bournemouth, straight to Shakeaways and purchasing a dime shakeaway (this is THE bomb), purchase a huge tropicana carton of orange juice, head to the beach, sun bathe, volley ball, swim, sleep, read, home, shower, pub, bar, swim in the sea, home, shower, bed at 3-4am :D
It was an integral part of the day and the only way to sustain yourself after a night before of drinkies and prepare for another one :D

I think your talking about shakeaway (http://www.shakeaway.com/subsites/uk/menu.htm)
I think I'm talking about Shake About.. seeing as though I go there at least once a week, I think I know what it is called ;)
Plus, have a loyalty card :D
Ooooh sounds good.
At one of the car shows we went to they had a mobile van doing pretty much the same thing, think I've had a Dime Bar and a Crunchie one :D
I'm in the area tomorrow. I have no idea what flavour to get. I want them all! I didn't quite get the idea though. You can get things on the bottom and on top?

Get my special one ;)

Shops like shakeaway shouldn't be allowed.
Whoever decided to make a shop where you can pick from over 50 flavours of milkshakes with toppings, is a baaaad person. Really bad. I wouldn't be surprised if I die of a Shakeaway related illness.
Ben and Dave are where it's at.
Ben
Ultra-popular Dime Bars, then more Dime Bars are added, blended all up and topped off with Toffee Popcorn!
Dave
Everyone knows a Dave: Ferrero Rochers and Kinder Bueno forming a perfect couple with a Flake crumbled over them!
I wouldn't be surprised if I die of a Shakeaway related illness.
Which is why its a good thing its in soton and not pompy :p
Get them all...then die with a smile knowing you've experienced heaven :D
Just had a nosey at the website and one of the ingredients is Marmite!! Hmmm...
