Thought it was a bit slow to start personally. Hopefully now it's gained some momentum, it'll keep it.

I couldn't make up my mind about it. Very cliched so far which is often ok if done well, but the fact I want everyone in it to die makes it a bit tricky to care :p The shaky cam in places was annoying too. Suppose generally I'm just a bit apathetic about it.
Pity, usually I love all things zombie :D

Suitably funny while horrendously gory, a promising start. Though directors need to ditch the 'shaky cam' fast, all it does is disorientate and nauseate me and does not add to the entertainment one bit.

Wasn't quite what I was expecting from Charlie Brooker tbh :p

Me neither, I was expecting it to be better ;D Hoping maybe more satire will shine through now the characters have been introduced. Providing I remember to watch it tomorrow of course :p

I enjoyed it, excellent premise... however I found the acting terribly wooden and forced last night which made it difficult to get involved in the story.

I think this is because its set in a "familiar" scenario - i.e live TV big brother eviction. You just CAN'T script and act the spontaneity that housemates show in "real life" Big bro, so unfortunately it ALL seemed OTT and fake.
However, now things have moved on from a familiar situation into real fiction territory, I think I'll cringe less at the acting and get more engrossed in the story.

Not sure what to make of it really. Kind of enjoyed it mainly because of the "real life" setting but also found it slow and a touch boring, hence flicking between it and Mock the Week. Acting was a bit cack and the producer guy was just way OTT.

Will probably watch it again and see how it takes off.

Have to say I wasn't over excited about it - might watch tonight and see if it picks up.

Quite liked it. I'll certainly try and watch the rest of the week.

It must be like a Brooker wet dream to physically put a bunch of former Big Brother contestants in one room and then watch them get torn limb from limb.
I was a bit disappointed we didn't see more of that. Maybe none of the buggers screamed convincingly and they all ended up on the cutting room floor.

I'm concerned that I find Davina, minus throat+covered in blood such a major turn on.

Yum.

Once again... last night I felt was a bit of an anti climax :(

I think... what really brings it down for me is the whole big boss and pippa scene(s). Although I understand they're trying to inject humour through them... I think it's fallen flat on it's face!! Cut them out and don't end the program in such weird places and I wouldn't have anything to complain about!

Yep, that producer guy just does my head in....too comedy like for me, seems more like a Ricky Jervais character.

Well, I gotta say, after trying all week to get into this... I haven't, and Its made me sad :(

After nearing 3 hours I warmed to no characters, still feel like I don't "know" them. It could easily have been a 10 minute independent short film.

Yes the effects were great, yes the makeup was incredible, but the storyline was bum for the length of air time it received and really didn't go anywhere for me. Maybe I just don't get the style of it, maybe that was the idea?

Stan_Lite

Serious anti-climax.

It was slow to start, the middle was passable and I was hoping it was building up to a nice crescendo ............ and then, flop, the ending was like a damp squib. There was potential for an interesting finish to the story but it just died a simpering death.

Boo.

It was easy watching and was good but yes I think it was a bit slow and the ending was a bit pants.

I have updated my Zombie Survival Plan because of this programme!

Pheebs

Fay - is that to avoid dumbasses like big brother?

I LOVE zombies (as if you didn't already know that) and am so so SO easily entertained... and I found myself bored.

I like to be scared with things like this and if it had done it's job right I would have been reluctant to take our doggy outside for her bedtime wee in the dark in the evening.

IMO

Dead Set = FAIL.

Had blood, gore, dark humour, characters that needed to die badly and a bleak ending - everything a good zombie pic needs!
