This was yesterday evening in Essex on the A12 on the Boreham bypass around 16:45-17:00

I was driving, the boss used my camera.

http://www.ocukroguesgallery.com/feek/temp/1-20081029-204236.png

It came down so quickly that it was settling on the road between me and the car in front, you can see that from the track on the road. My headlights were practically useless because they just got covered.

5 miles either side was clear!

Got caught in a thunderstorm on the way home from the pub yesterday....

Managed to miss the blizzard that my brother and sister told me about though :p

I woke this morning to find I couldn't get into my car as there was a thin layer of ice over the whole of it. Not frost - ice. Damn Arctic winds with their freezing rain! It's like The Day After Tomorrow Right Now... I mean, right now.

Aye Belmit, that's exactly what it was like, it came down with such a ferocity that we commented it was like that. Frost on the car yesterday, none today but I pulled the stalk for the washers and the jets almost froze in midair as they ejaculated onto the windscreen.

You best keep an eye out for The Quaid then!

Nothing more likely to ruin your day than that :p

I went to a pub near Alexandra Palace on Tuesday night, after it had been snowing for about half an hour we decided to get the (2 minute!) train journey home. Unfortunately all the trains were massively delayed and we had to wait 15 minutes for a bus. How can the trains **** up that quickly? Ridiculous. And they were still delayed this morning!

They will come out with the wrong type of snow on the lines excuse no doubt :p

my mummy, my kids and I got caught in ice cold rain and 5mins later it was heavy snow.
Kids loved it but it was such a shock as the weather didn't mention snow at all and there we were waiting for the bus getting freezing cold wind blowing on us with heavy bloody snow :(
It october its not meant to snow yet.

It snowed in October when I was a kid.

I hope that fifteen years of gash mild winters are over and we're going back to proper winters.

I got an awesome down-lined one from H&M of all places a couple of years back. I've worn it with nothing but a T-shirt under it when its been -5 outside and been fine.

So today (after being woken at 3:45 AM by hailstones setting off car alarms outside) I'll be throwing it on along with my peaked beanie and skelebob hand gloves for the slog to work. I'll probably need to unzip it after 15 mins to cool down...

We were going to, but we kept thinking the train/bus would be here 'any minute'. Plus we weren't really dressed for the occasion, it wasn't even raining when we left the flat!

That first pic is . I went to collect my girlfriend from Heathrow at about 5am last April when there was a freak overnight snowstorm. The snow was coming down so hard and so fast that I couldn't see past the end of the bonnet.

Absolutely bricked it and slowed down to about 15-20mph and then had to creep along the road using the sat nav to tell me which way the road was going. One of the scariest drives of my life.

I managed to avoid this, in Leeds there was nothing but it was damn cold. Last night as I was coming back down I could see the storm over chelmsford way right the way from the A1->A14 turn off, so a good 80 miles away. There were some damn impressive forks generated.

We got nothing, as usual. That's what you get for living (sort of) in a valley, I guess.

Had a beautiful day yesterday. Blue sky and sunshine, but absolutely freezing. It snowed overnight, but now the rain is busy washing it away. BOOOOOOOOO!!! Leon wanted to go out in the Manta for a play.

One was snowed in visiting Mrs Jinks and Jinks Jr, but after liberal use of swearwords and a snowshovel, I was able to visit Jinks Snr, who was enjoying completely snow/rain free weather. Bah!
