Got a phone call about half hour ago from the Council lady, They have allocated some new space for Allotments & I have got one :party1:
19 quids a year ;D
Apparently the bloke will ring me end of next week to arrange meet etc
Can't wait to get me Tattys in
Blimeh! 19 quid!
I'd love an allotment. I would have chickens.
Oooh very exciting :D
Congrats :)
Awesome dude :D Freshly grown food ftw!

I'd put chickens in the MR2s :p
Although £19 a year should be cheaper than renting a second garage so you may be on to something!
Ha ha! Awesome dude! If I'm ever up your way I'll bring my wellies :D
I think I still have your wellies :o

I demand pics of you in big wellies on your new allotment :D
NIce one :D
Unusual for a council to be creating allotments rather than building on them!
I think I still have your wellies :o
Okay... so if I come up your way I will by pass Wales first and then turn up in my wellies!!

Nothing tastes as good as home-grown strawberries

Well that's just going to be cold and uncomfortable. Not to mention the strain on your knees with all that squatting.
Plant some vegetables instead :D

I'll raise you a home grown strawberry freshly picked on xmas day.

Nah, I'd put MR2s on it :p
And a lego tree. :p
Lego doesn't grow on trees you know.
I'd have to make do with a money tree then exchange my crop for Lego.
Lucky git, I'd love an allotment!
Stick is huge shed on it and rent it out. Could be a nice little earner :D

Me Ma just rang up & said A lady has just rang her from the council & offered her an Allotment down where mine will be, Did I mind if she took it ;D
So we'll get joining ones which basically means I have 2 Allotments ;D;D;D
Cool, my granddad turned his back garden into a allotment he use to grow everything, so did his next door neighbour, nobody is bothered about growing things or even just a few spuds or fruit, it doesn't take that much time to plant and feed them.
We have a strawberry plant in a tub for my niece but the summer was crap and about 10 strawberries grew all summer :S
Once we've sorted the bottom of our garden, I reckon we should try and grow something down there :D

Build yourself a couple of raised beds mate & you'll be sowing in no time.

Went down to meet the Allotment dude @ 2.30pm. There was 5 plots behind the wooden gate with the 1st one already taken so we had a choice of 4. I went for the far end one with my Mas the next one in, So we have 2 plots next to each other that are brand new & have never been worked, They even have a tap there

Chuffed to bits, Can't believe it's Brand new & has already been dug over, I'm just waiting for the paperwork now & then I'll get started with the digging :)
That's what you call an allotment - can't believe how neat and tidy it looks
You should see some of the ones I've seen.
First thing is to get some decent muck dug into that soil :)
If you're anywhere near the NW you're welcome to a 15 year-old compost heap.
Looks like a decent plot :)
