soft plastic nail caps that simply slide over your pets' existing nails
I just saw it as one of the random adverts on the side of facebook ;D

genius, looks cute and will save furniture.

BUT.

Surely there's plenty of reasons cats need their claws :p

I can't see that being too good for them. Cats claw things in order to wear down their nails so they don't get too long, if you got these i imagine you'd have to clip their nails for them which is more hassle than i could ever be bothered with. A scratching pole works perfectly fine for me and is rather amusing as one of my cats seems to think the best way to use it is to climb and then perch on top and attack anyone who approaches without hesitance.

Read the FAQ...it says you have to kill your cat before fitting.

Pebbles cat hardly ever scratches the furniture... she has a little peck every once in a while but a quick telling off sorts it out.

Her scratchy post is ripped to shreds however ;D

Another thing about those - house cats do tend to "clip" their own claws. I wouldn't be surprised if they'd end up swallowing the plastic caps.

And Borris, if you don't lay off the furniture, it's plastic caps for you ;)

Ours go outside, I wouldn't consider putting something like that on a cat that might actually need its claws whether for scaling fences or even more importantly self defense!

I can only imagine the cats will perform a quick flick of the wrist before sending them flying/ ensuring after you fit the first one that they use the remaining razors to scram your hands to a pulp- ensuring no more fittings will ever be possible.

In that pic it looks like those little liquorish sweets you get - I use to love those, not had them in years!!

I bet they'll make an unwelcome addition to your cats diet as well.

Once a week I clip my son's finger and toe nails. Then I move on to each of the cats in turn. Only one ever gives me much grief and I just remind her who puts out the food water and litter pan...
