Anyone used them and can offer their opinions?

They have a lot of US import stuff but all priced in pounds - do they import it and then despatch from the UK so I'm not going to get hit with import charges?

Looking at buying the Ultimate Matrix Collection on Blu-Ray from them.

I used to use them for DS games, but haven't done so for a couple of years now.
I can't remember if they import first unfortunately :(
Never had a problem with them though, if that's any good to you :)

Thanks. Have gone ahead with the order so we'll see how they fare :)

They're great these days, they seem to import popular items in advance so for example i received my blu-ray order of batman begins (for £11!) within a week.

They're excellent. When importing HD-DVD's, or as more the case these days, Blu-Ray I always use MovieTyme or AxelMusic as my importers.

Well I placed my order on 9th and am still waiting for it 24 days later :(

This will be my last order with Movietyme.

It isn't beyond the realms of possibility that it's lost. Nothing has taken close to that, I think a week was the longest I've waited.

That's a bit of a kick in the nadgers mate, sorry to hear it. As nokkon said there's a good possibility it's lost, never taken more than a week for me either.

Still not here :(

Whilst it may well be lost in the post and thus not strictly Movietyme's fault, the fact remains that the first thing I ordered from them still isn't here a month later and thus I won't be ordering from them again.

Having a similar experience with Play lately. Used to use them all the time and most stuff came next day or the day after at the very latest but, for the past few months, things have routinely been taking a week or more and my copy of Spore never showed up.

The problem with both these companies is that you have to wait about a month before you can "complain" and get a replacement or refund. You either have to wait it out or buy elsewhere and then have the hassle of returning the original if and when it ever shows.

All this free delivery stuff is very overrated IMO. I'd rather pay a couple of quid extra for a more reliable delivery service which is what I've started doing via Amazon tbh. Neither Play nor Movietyme even offer the option of a paid for delivery service.

If you're getting things regularly disappearing, I'd be asking royal mail to investigate (whether they'll take any notice is another problem). Sounds a bit dodgy to me.

Fat bloody chance. We've had plenty of stuff go AWOL in the last year including gig tickets (they even delivered an empty envelope), Warhammer Online pre-order (I'd downloaded it anyway) and a couple of rental DVD's.

Not even had a letter of apology from Royal Mail.

It finally turned up today :)

We've only had one thing actually go missing (Spore), which Play replaced but loads of things seem to be taking a lot longer to arrive lately.

Did Customs hold it?

Nope, no sign of customs charges or intervention, just took four weeks to show up for some reason.
