I took a whole load of old 360 games to CEX yesterday including some old toot like Kameo and got £108 credit. I was most impressed with the set up and I think I got pretty much top dollar in comparison to Blockbuster where I think I'd have been lucky to get £70 for them all. I've kept about 7 games including Forza 2, COD4, and a few others but most of the others I never play have gone.

I was really impressed with the prices on 360 games in there, a lot of the other stuff like laptops and ipods were expensive but the games were good value, I picked up Kane and Lynch and Stranglehold both of which I miss first time around for a grand total of £18 so I still have £90 store credit :)

nice one MB, Davey is always singing their praises. I'll probably take all my games there from now on :)

CEX ?

Computer Exchange.
It's a second hand shop that deal in many, many things, but they are very highly regarded by everyone I talk to. It's also where both presenters go on The Gadget Show in the challenges. Sadly there isn't one where I live, but most major cities seem to have them.

I've sung their praises many times and will continue to do so. They're a fantastic store and offer unbeatable trade in and cash prices for your old games. I find their game prices can be a little higher than some shops, but the value you get for your own games more than makes up for that little difference. Great staff who work in my one as well, always good for a laugh and always know their stuff.

We have one in town newly opened, the cash values they give are shocking on some games, £2 for Fifa 08 but the store credit values are not to bad but the only problem is the game prices are inflated I went in last month and they wanted £40 for a 2nd copy of COD 4....lolque.

Most of the new games aren't cheap, I saw game in there that I could have got 2nd hand in Blockbusters cheaper but I would say the games over 3 or 4 months old are pretty much spot on, I saw COD4 Modern Welfare for £35 which I thhought was quite inflated but I don't think you can fault them for games you might have missed out on the first time round in this case Stranglehold for £8 and Kane and Lynch for £10, of course you aren't going to get much for a cash exchange they offered me £75 vs £108 but they only make one mark up on cash deals so its only to be expected. IN comparison to a lot of other places they seem quite fair on 2nd hand prices unless the game is in demand and then they do take advantage. Pick your trades and buys carefully and I believe from what I've seen that there is more for your money available then other places.

According to the CEX website, Call of Duty 4 is selling for £30. This may seem high considering how old it is, but they will give you £15 cash or £21 exchange if you take your own copy in. CoD4 has held it's value better than any game I've ever seen, primarily I'm guessing due to the stellar online play.

Nice one Matt :)
Wish we had a CEX here, I tend to ebay the majority of my games.

I use CEX, it is good for getting rid of old games and unwanted stuff. They have very good service and workers who actually know what they are talking about....their prices and credit are the best when compared to places like cash converters, game, gamestation et al....

Speaking of cash converters, don't even get me started on them.
