Picked this link up off another forum...

Lightning Fast Browsing Trick For Internet Explorer And Firefox

Tried it on my firefox and it works

For firefox users (i can't be arsed doing the IE one) do this:

In address bar go to 'about:config'.
Filter by 'Network'.
network.http.pipelining set to 'true'.
network.http.pipelining.maxrequests set to 6. (changed under advice of Mr Burbleflop)
Stick on some go faster stripes
