I didn't take any prep pictures as I just chucked this together today and didn't know how it would turn out !
Ingredients ( makes enough for a small army ) 12 x cumberland sausages 1x hooge onion Garlic ( I think I used about 4 cloves ) Mixed herbs Worcershireshireshire sauce 1x green pepper 1x large carrot 1x large courgette 1x leek 2x celery 2x tins of chopped toms 2 pints of stock ( 2x veg oxo & 2 x beef oxo ) Large splash of red wine Cornflour S&P to taste Method : Shallow fry the sausages until slightly browned, put to one side to cool off. Brown the onions in a little olive oil with the garlic, mixed herbs and worcs sauce. Once the onions are soft add the chopped toms, stock & red wine - mix thoroughly. Add the sausages ( chopped into thirds ) Add the rest of the chopped veg, cover and either simmer for about an hour or place in a slow cooker for about 3/4 hours. When it has about 30 mins to go add some cornflour to thicken. ![]() We served with mashed pots and mange tout. ![]() Got tons left over for dinners tomorrow and the rest is going in the freezer ![]() Last edited by Piggymon; 27-01-2008 at 20:48.
