Time Machine is both not flexible enough for what I'm trying to achieve and trying to be too clever at the same time.
Is there a third party solution that will provide point in time restore functionality, but is far less picky about where it backs up to (ie; smb/nfs/ftp/iscsi maybe). We dont need bare metal restore, just need to get the data off the thing reliably while keeping point in time restore. Commercial options are fine. I have enquired about Mac agents for BE fwiw, but I'd like to leave the restore functionality with the user in this case if possible. Ta ![]()
