I made a network diagram!

It's pretty basic and probably goes against all the rules that there are (if there are any) about network diagrams but it's mine, all mine!

There is only one thing wrong with it and its minor. T'internet is portrayed as a cloud

I looked at the cloud and didn't use it because we use it to indicate our WAN at work. I've swapped it now though and it looks much betterer.

A cloud is typically used to represent any kind of WAN, most commonly the internet of course

Visio's great for that sort of thing. Though I'm not doing that sort of thing anymore

I concur on the use of Visio, though I also haven't had to use that for ages.

Feek, are you a manager at work? If so you would fit right in at my place as all the managers think the Internet is a cloud...which seeing as I work for an ISP makes for some interesting decisions on their part

Its the traditional way of demonstrating the internet, long established practice

and its what anyone trained in networking is in theory supposed to be taught to use in diagrams... doesn't always happen though. Every internal diagram we have at the ISP I work for uses a cloud too, though in a break from the norm the only non-technical manager is the MD though he's tech competent and actually seems to understand when you explain things. Its kinda shocking having come from a support background to then work as part of a team and under managers who actually understand what I'm talking about (and know more than I do anyway)
