Can anyone test a socket 939 CPU for me (4400+)
I have a strange feeling the memory controller has failed (Channel B). I've had the motherboard returned as "not faulty". Fortunatley, due to the relationship I have with Scan, they have waived the testing costs. However, I need to know if that CPU was to blame for the failure. I'll pay for postage costs of course. Thanks

If it is compatible in a s393 asus a8v deluxe rev2 agp I could test it for you, I had problems when the winchester chips first came out when building a system for a mate, couldn't prove what was faulty, so duplicated the system which was also not working. Turned out both motherboards were faulty after getting a third motherboard.

I'm sure you mean S939... Yes I returned the mothorboard thinking the BUS had a defect but it turns on after a test that it's not faulty.. I've tested the memory so it has to be the memory controller.
