W00t! After reading how easy it is to make stock, i made some chicken stock the other week for a chicken ricey stew thing, instead of just using water, and it was ok, but i cooked it up (geddit?
![]() But this was tn oo thin, so i uber boiled some more potatoes and strained them and added the gunk to the mixture to give it "depth" ( ![]() I'm proud I've managed to *completely* finish off the lambs leg to the last scrap and extract every bit of juice from the bones etc... Its so tasty and minty its awesome, doing this more often, also tbh its piss easy. Boil simmer, strain, boil simmer, add what you want along the way, and if you let it cool enough skim the crappy fat off the top... No pics my camera is broken ![]() ![]() Last edited by LeperousDust; 06-03-2008 at 19:30. |

Now that I have started this whole cooking malarky - I am often shocked that bunging stuff together can actually taste good
![]() Especially when it was me doing the bunging! Keep up the good work ![]() BB x |
