'Fraid so. 250 miles from Kent to Southampton to up near Birmingham at top speed has killed my engine. Terminal sounding knocking noise and got trailered back. I don't think it's up for the abuse I give it. May be time for a swap to the later 100E engine which is a bit stronger.

They're quite complicated engines if I remember correctly so he's going to need at least three cardboard toilet roll inners and 2 rubber bands to make one of the stronger ones

I'm thinking I might just out a standard engine back in it. Mine would be easy to find the bits and repair but expensive and it won't be long until I break it again. Standard engine would be cheaper but they are hard to find.
