Flightless pigeon

We have what looks like a flightless pigeon (well it's certainly a pigeon, it just looks like it's flightless

) waddling around the garden periodically and sitting under the hedge for prolonged periods.

Any ideas what to do about it? Don't like the idea of just leaving it to die slowly due to lack of food or be half eaten by one of the neighbourhood cats
