Chicks in Blankets
So it's been a while since I've posted in this here forum, so I thought I'd return with a bang (well not so much a bang as a roasting)...
This evening I have been playing with food. But no ordinary food, much of it is stupidly expensive and fun to play with Here is what I had to cook with... Now I know what you're thinking... Firstly, "OMG DYM HAS A CUP WITH SEX WRITTEN ON IT!" Secondly, "ooOOoo FOOD!" So where did I go from here? Well, I grabbed a handy bludgeoning tool (in this case, a wine bottle) and flattened out those chicken breasts thusly: Then I made with the knife and sliced up some of the spring onions and mushrooms: After this I had a rest and a beer before creating a strange amalgamation of stuffs on the chopping board...: Add some Stilton: Then create a funky chick in blanket roll (or two) : I popped this lot in the oven for a bit (after a light sprinkling of olive oil, then about 20 minutes at 200 degrees see) and received a rather enjoyable outcome: Served it up with some salad (avec beetroot gratings) and my own special recipe new potatoes (slathered in butter, black pepper and parsley), accompanied by a very nice glass of Frascati All in all a very enjoyable evening meal. This post was brought to you in association with Asda, Tesco, M&S and the kitchen of the new Chateau Dymtree
