Looks nice

I was impressed by the Samsungs I saw when I was looking for a new TV - FWIW they seemed every bit as good as the comparable Sonys.

I have the older version smasung 37" and it's awesome.

when you first turn it on you will be disappointed. You have to set up the display to get a good picture.

Google you model number and settings and you should find a few. I still spent a few hours tweaking it untill I was happy. It's stunning.

Have a look on AV Forums, they had a great thread for optimising the settings for my R88

I'm short on my luxury finances but I'm looking for a HD television - no fussed about size so 32 max - what recommendations does everyone have?

I'm only looking for normal use / 360 / films etc and have a cracking surround sound system at present budget ~400/500 all in. any ideas the lovely ladies and illustrious gents?

I've got the Sony KDL32V4000 and it's brilliant. Use it for pretty much what you want it for, plus it's only about £350ish.
