Late Night at the Science Museum
On Monday I saw a Tweet about the late night at the Science Museum. I had a look on the web site and decided I wanted to go along for a number of good reasons.
1) No kids 2) It's the Science Museum with no kids 3) No kids 4) Cheese You can grab a pdf of last night's event here. So after work on Wednesday, I hopped on a train and then a tube and met up with a guy who I've been following and who has been following me on Twitter for a few months. We've exchanged a few comments, he's helped me out with things and I've done the same for him so it was really nice to meet him and his wife for the first time. It was a bit like a a new person turning up at a meet. So in we trogged and the his wife and I both needed a wee so we headed off to find the toilets which we managed, only being distracted by the restaurant and the huge help-yourself plates of rather nice cheese and biscuits! Cracking! We met up with one of his friends who happens to work at the museum so we got free entry to the special exhibits and free bottles of beer as well. It was somewhat refreshing to walk around the Science Museum with bottles of beer in our hands and no kids in sight We left at kicking out time, around 22:00 and I got home around half past midnight. It was a fantastic evening and I'm looking forward to going again later this year. You can see my photographs here and there's a flickr of photographs from the event here. I'm even in a couple of those, can you spot me?

I'd have liked that. Went to the SM a few years ago and can't say I was that impressed, but maybe it was the kids. Maybe (hoping) they'll do more.

I went on a Friday evening a while back and got ripped off by that joke of a car exhibition. However there were still a few kids about, being all small and whatnot.
