Default MyPhone from Microsoft

Not sure if any of you WinMo users out there have seen this, but I think it's quite clever and handy

http://myphone.microsoft.com

It's an online backup utility that runs on your phone and syncs to the web. It's tied in to your Windows Live account which means you're not signing up for yet another place. You can sync contacts, calendar, SMS, pics, video, music, etc. I've always used PM Backup to save to the storage card but this is handy in that all of the info is on the net so you can look stuff up online if you want to.

Anyway, just a little heads up

That's pretty neat! Thanks for sharing!

Sadly, yours isn't mine.
But if you stopped writing about other things and made this your signature, yours could be like mine.
Look down, back up. Where are you?
You're on Boat Drinks, reading the signature your signature could be like.
I'm on a computer.

Obviously you'll need a decent amount of data from your provider, although it will work over Wifi as well

I'm using this along side PIM backup so I've got a local copy of important things on my mem card but now also an online version in case the whole phone goes pear shaped. It also means I've got access to all phone numbers even if I don't have my phone with me

Exchange ActiveSync takes care of all that for me, but I know some guys at work who would be interested in it

I may well use it if I need something to sync files with but I've never really kept anything important on my phone. EAS doesn't back up your SMS though so that is a bonus.
