Good, started off bad when the bus broke on the M6 at 7am, it was a double decker and it was packed with people so dont think it could handle the weight, driver manged to get it going after 15 minutes. Set off at 8am, near to Old Trafford was dull for most of the morning, big accident in Aspull, guy got hit by a car and couple of people crashed from the result of it, it happened in front of us so going pass 2 ambulance and police cars was a bit nerving considering we had not hit half way, saw a lad panned out in Haigh Hall and a rode passed a woman screaming and saw her knee was bent out of shape. 8000 took part and it range from kids to pros, and the pros just barged passed and would be in the oncoming lane to overtake. Stopped a couple of times for drinks and food, the hospice had 2 stops and had plenty of food for everybody. Sun came out around Preston and I did not put any suncream on so I caught the sun. Finished in Blackpool in sunshine and heavy winds. Raised £60 online and £60 through family and friends.
Windmill at Lytham Ouch Thanks to Wyrdo, Nokkon and Matblack for sponsoring me from here [IMG][/IMG] Last edited by cheets; 13-07-2009 at 12:51. |
