Mobile Internet Recomendations
Ok i have my new laptop with W7 loaded all I need is a Mobile Internet Connection.. I have no idea what to go for and the usage I need so I have a few questions?
Do I know if my limit is reached? Can I not use my mobile as a modem? What would you recommend? Here's a few: http://shop.o2.co.uk/promo/o2mobileb.../tab/24_months http://www.three.co.uk/Mobile_Broadband/Pay_Monthly http://shop.vodafone.co.uk/shop/cata...questid=903107

During peak times my mates T Mobile connection becomes pretty much useless so i'd say avoid them, i can't be any more help than that though

I would echo this. If you're somewhere you can get HSDPA, T-Mobile is absolutely fine but on 3G or GPRS - forget it, it's not worth trying

In a recent Ofcom report Three came out on top. I'm paying them £7.50/month for 3GB. Just tell them that you have Virgin and they have offered you 1GB for £5

I haven't used t-mobile specific 3g mobile broadband but i assume its based on the back of their own general network, and i've never really had a problem during peak times using my phone tethered to my laptop. Just yesterday i was getting just under 3Mbs down tethered, out in the sticks of maghull here where o2 barely gets reception and my t-mobile reception isn't perfect either.
Obviously central edinburgh i get 3.5g solid and massive download almost all the time but i'd kinda expect that i guess! |

Yup. With Three I had been a customer for 1 year already so was a repeat offender but the Virgin deal is open to all their customers taking triple play services and Three aren't going to know whether you are or are not
