Anybody know how much a nail avulsion is likely to cost?
As title. I have an ingrown toenail and it's getting pretty painful now so I'm at the stage where I'm going to have to bite the bullet and get it seen to when I get back to blighty. It'll probably be a partial nail avulsion but I have no idea how much that's likely to cost.
Anybody had this done privately? Can anybody give me an idea as to how much it'll cost?

Hmm. According to that thread, anywhere between £37 and £230

I know two people who got it done free on the NHS and in both cases it was rather quick at being seen to and fixed.

Problem is, I'm not registered with a doctor here and it's not really worth doing so now as I'll be moving later this year. By the time I got registered with a GP, got an appointment, got referred to a chiropodist and got it treated, it'd probably be near time to move house. I think I'd prefer to do it privately.

Haven't made up my mind yet. Favourites at the moment are back to Scotland or over to Yorkshire but I'm open to suggestions

Tooks weeks/months for mine to get done on the NHS (about 15 years ago now) and both are very ugly looking as a result

My mate decided to do this himself to help him fit into smaller climbing shoes!
I used to suffer with regular bad toes from a combination of great and terrible habits- long distance running and picking nails (disgusting I know ) After being a daft sod and DIY'ing myself better - I'd recommend seeing a professional
