FAO: Pheebs - ZOMBIES (a mathematical model of a zombie outbreak!)
WHEN ZOMBIES ATTACK!: MATHEMATICAL MODELLING OF AN OUTBREAK OF ZOMBIE INFECTION
Someone or some scientists have actually sat down and written a computer modelling code for a scenario of zombie infection. This has been published in Infectious Disease Modelling Research Progress. http://asksciencedude.info/wp-conten...10/Zombies.pdf Enjoy!

Funnily enough the science looks solid and well thought out enough such that it's pulished in a journal, even though bizarrely from universes which are fictional.
Thoughts of making academic studies on it remind me of e.g. being able to get Klingon language qualifications. Slightly pointless no? I'm guessing as said it's the methodology which was solid, maybe it's a good way of giving a review of some of the models used in real life.
