Likely to sell me bike
I'm planning on moving soon and where I shall be moving to will not really lend itself for keeping a bike. I don't particularly want to leave it outdoors as it will likely sit there for days/weeks on end without being used (which is always tempting for people keen on theft). I also seldom use it nowadays. I don't like riding by myself, I don't really go for "blasts" by myself anymore. I don't want to sell it, not at all, but I have to be rational and sensible and realise that I just don't use it as much as I used to. In fact I've only used it three times this year. :/
I like the fact I have a bike and that I can use it whenever I want - but the fact is, I just don't see myself using it as regularly as I should so I feel like i have something sitting there which I'm paying for (not much to be fair, insurance is £25 a month and tax is £50 a year) which I'm going to use a dozen times if that... I can't leave the bike at my parents as they don't have the space for it either and where I'll be moving to (around Putney) would be too much of an inconvenience to drive there just to take the bike for a spin (I'd have to tighten everything, oil everything every time I do owing to the lack of use!). I don't really know what other options I have. It's got around 15k miles. 51 Plate Never been dropped. Lots of mileage left on the tyres. A+ condition Titanium exhaust. so I reckon 2k is achieveable which will be nice pocket money. I've paid off my credit cards this month so it would go to my savings pot and not be used other than perhaps funding towards a more expensive holiday (i.e. NY). I just wanted to share my rant and vent Oh and thank Paul for listening to my whinging already! If anybody wants it I'd rather sell it to a friend than a stranger.

LOL! Triumph TT600. Beautiful bike - absolutely stunning.
I don't want to get rid of it, but I don't feel it is sensible to keep something that I'm not going to be using... it might be different if I had people that I rode with often, or if I used it to commute - but I seldom use it and it just vexes me that I have a bike I don't use.. I hate knowing I have it but don't use it

Bike looks great, shame you have to sell it, but what's this all about? News?

Dude, not a easy decision to make. I made a similar one 2.5 years ago to sell my Elise and I was able to buy her back 6 months ago when I was in a much better situation to actually use the bloody thing. Might be a tad trickier to do with your bike but remember that you can always pick up another one in a couple of years (if you're allowed to ) £2k for that amount of performance is simply astounding, real shame that I will never trust myself on a bike.

I thought of you straight away Paul when faced with this situation as I know you've been through the same thing. It's more silly having something that Im not using and paying for it rather than crying over a toy which I know I can get later on in life. I think living in London and owning a bike just isn't fun and I'm not getting the best out of it.
