Office desk
Looking to get a new desk for my room but they are pretty expensive for a couple of bits of wood and metal.
I have been looking at the following desks at Staples UK: https://www.staples.co.uk/furniture/...desk-steel-leg Rio Left Hand Ergo Desk (£229.99+vat - Item Number: 382837) https://www.staples.co.uk/furniture/...x-1200mm-beech Maestro Plus Ergo Cantilever Desk Left Hand (£259.99+vat - Item Number: 406596) Does anybody here know of similar desks at a better price? |

We just bought one of these:

Going to speak with a local carpenter and see what we can get priced up in comparison to the Ikea/Staples offering. |

This is my desk and has been for over 3 years now. It is brilliant! Solid wood.

Assuming the desks in my garage are still in fit state, I'll be getting rid of two 4ft desks fairly soon (one cheap MFI, the other decent ex-office T-bar). Both well worn but good nick so £10 each. Only bother is they'll be collect only.
To replace them, I got two matching 4ft and a 6ft table-style desk from an office clear-out. Last edited by Mark; 06-09-2010 at 22:58. |

My existing desk is from either an office clear-out/auction (~£10 when we bought it many years ago) and I've also got a cheap smaller desk from Argos along side it. |
