Default Mousemat..... gah.

For years I've used an Icemat which is fantastic, I love the feel and overall the mat is fantastic.

I just bought a laser mouse. 99% of the time it doesn't work with the icemat. Sometimes I sort of manage to reset it and it works but if I turn the mouse off and on, or swap the batteries, it just stops moving.

What other good mousemats are available that feel and work as well as the icemat? I really don't like just using the desk.

I believe Steelpad is the other favourite (latest one is supposed to work with laser mice), unless Icemat have updated theirs.

Makes note not to buy a laser mouse.

Yeah, that'll work too. Enough texture for a mouse to pick up there.

Bling! Custom made granite mousemat my friend made for me at work

The laser mouse doesn't actually like it... I just like to show it off.

A teflon baking tray or similar is apparantly about as good as it gets. I personally use nothing other than the desk but then I'm using a G7 so on-the-fly sensitivity adjustment is what I use and that is awesome

Aye, this is a G7, it's taking a lot of getting used to.

I've got one of these: http://www.bjorn3d.com/read.php?cID=671&pageID=900
Seems pretty good although I've just got a regular optical mouse. Plus it only cost me £6 inc postage

I was going to get one of those - wonder how they do with a laser mouse (G5)? - Anyone had any experience or know anyone who has?
