And how has your Christmas been?
Was really looking forward to Christmas this year. Work has been really stressful and I needed a break. Quite nice to get away from it all, despite the usual Christmas stressarama. Have stuffed myself with some nice food, great barbequed Turkey yesterday and a BIG 11-person family feast. I got a cook book, some choccies and a jumper. I'm seeing some of my family tomorrow and then hopefully take it easy for a few days.
How is it going for you guys? You lot with the kids, what time did they drag you out of your comfy beds then?

Had a great Christmas thank you!
Fairly quiet this year, just me and the gf round my parents for lunch yesterday, then my sister and her hubby joined us in the evening. Fairly quiet but nice just to chill out with family as that's what Christmas is all about in my opinion

Mic is in canada so first Jingly alone - been extremely skint so loads of friends have sent food parcels and suchlike to make sure I ate. Went for a traditional Polish Jingly Eve with a friend from work and her boyfriend, then spent Jingly day round a friends having a lovely fry up brunch, whooping arse at yahtzee and then doing rattie first aid. Left there about 5 as family were arriving for dinner and although I was invited to stay, I didn't want to intrude.
Went to the cinema today (saw MI4) and have nothing planned for tomorrow; back to work on wednesday though. had a few jealous/lonely moments but have had a few friends who have been regularly messaging me to make sure I'm ok which has helped loads. |

Spent most of Christmas morning trying to revive my brothers dead iphone (which he'd only bought off me 3 days before as i'd upgraded) he's since taken a trip to the apple shop and had it replaced.
Had lots of lovely presents. A lot of it for my new home if I ever get one - fingers crossed the new year brings some better news on that front. First year we didn't go to the pub on Christmas day. That's a good thing though. Dad still got drunk - no change there, I got out of the way before things decended too much. (he's finally said he's going to get help) Oh and I went to watch Bristol City play today, we lost, no change there going by this season. Hope everyone else is ok, going to take the dog for a big old stomp tomorrow. Last edited by Knipples; 26-12-2011 at 21:00. |

Been pretty good
I've had a bad cough that's wrecked my energy levels but Christmas day was relaxing and enjoyable! Was spoilt present wise and equally my Mum was too Excellent food too. I'm off work till Jan 9th so hoping to have a good, relaxing time off Not had more than a couple of days off since last Christmas so will be nice to have a break after a particularly fraught November and December. My Mum's best friend's estranged husband is an alcoholic. Horrible situation to witness let alone be part of so I feel for you *hugs* Know that feeling re my Dad *hugs* Hope everyone enjoys what time off they have left before returning to work *hugs to those who didn't get their ideal Christmas*

I got one text message wishing my Merry Christmas. Even my remaining family didn't bother this year.
Have sat in the house as its been belting it down, up until this afternoon when I'd had enough and went out for a random drive and ended up in the Gower. We stopped off at a pub and had a really nice meal, so i'm not feeling so crap. Saying that, really miss my mum and dad.

I spent all of it either sneezing, blowing my nose or sitting there feeling like death warmed up so not the best of days being honest.

I was worried about Sam and Marie so glad you both are ok!
Just before Xmas I met up with my uncle and his family who I haven't seen for about 12 years due to a family fall out that we can't actually remember. So that was lovely. Slight issue with another part of the family which is upsetting me slightly but that's been going on a while. Had a really bad cold so been grumpy and anti social! But actually had a nice relaxing time and lots of nice things, plus another week off work yet to recover.
