Default Motorbike up for grabs....

I'm going to advertise my SV650 (52 plate) in the press next month. I can't afford the up keep as it's not getting the usage I might have liked. What with a baby on the way too, I'll have even less time.

Anyway, it's the fully faired version (sports), 6.5k miles, recently fully serviced, taxed and MOT, spankingly good condition (not a scratch).

I'm looking for £2,900 but i'll let it go to any BD member for £2,600

I'll even through in my one piece leather with new knee slidders! plus my leather thonged bikers pants

I will ask my Dad if he would be interested. His bandit is getting on a bit (its on a V plate with what is now starship mileage for a bike) and he uses it every day in all weathers to get to work (saving his SV1000 for the weekends ) so he might be interested in a change.

don't think he'll go for a 650 after a 1000. I found the drop from a gixer like going from a BMW to a Corsa

Changed before I'm nabbed by the mini police!

I'll have you know my little MINI will out accelerate most BMWs (within reason) and is itself a BMW

He would be swapping the Bandit 600 for the sv650, not the thou

Anyway, just asked him - he said the Bandit is good for a few more years (its "only" on 30k ) but he does tend to maintain the bikes rather well, so no need for a replacement just yet.

OOh, V twin goodness.

My brother is on about getting a bike, but I think he's after a nutter bastard 1000cc 4 cylinder like mine. I'll mention it to him anyway.
