Britpop pioneers Shed Seven have announced that they are to reform for a one-off Greatest Hits tour this winter.

The band, who enjoyed a run of fifteen consecutive Top 40 hits including the classics Going For Gold, Chasing Rainbows and Getting Better, will take to the stage this November / December – four years after their original split.

The line-up will include guitarist Paul Banks - the first time he’s appeared onstage with the Sheds since 1999. The five piece band will be completed by the other original members Joe Johnson, Alan Leach, Tom Gladwin, and of course Rick Witter.

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Monday July 9th, however there is a opportunity to order early, by visiting http://www.gigsandtours.com/?s=shed+...site=shedseven this Saturday (07/07/07) from 9am.

The Shed Seven reunion plans do not affect the individual members’ projects which will continue as before. This includes Rick, who recently released a debut album with his new band The Dukes.

Shed Seven’s dates are as follows:

NOVEMBER 2007

27th Aberdeen Music Hall
28th Inverness Ironworks
29th Glasgow Barrowlands

DECEMBER 2007

1st Newcastle Academy
2nd Liverpool Academy
3rd Nottingham Rock City
4th Sheffield Leadmill
6th Birmingham Academy
7th Manchester Academy
8th Leeds Met Uni
10th Norwich UEA
11th Oxford Academy
12th Portsmouth Pyramid
14th London Shepherd’s Bush Empire

You can visit the band’s MySpace page and watch a preview for the tour at www.myspace.com/officialshedseven

Because I'm overexcited, have some free tracks. A couple of covers, and a couple from their last album that you might already have from the last time I offered them up:

I know shockingly little about Shed Seven so I'll download some of those to see what they're like I've got a feeling I'd probably know them if I heard them.

I'm seeing them in December at the Shepherds Bush Empire. It will rock like nothing that has rocked before.

Missed it. Saw her at Hanley Victoria Hall though, and when they filmed the episode of 'Hold Tight' that she was in at Alton Towers.
