Hard-Fi - Suburban Knights
I wasn't a fan of Hard-Fi from their first album as I found most of their tunes fairly bleak, even though they were mostly up-tempo numbers.
I now can't get enough of their new track and have just gone and ordered the album! Might even get the first one too and give it another chance. This may be my song of the year so far.

I've got their album, and their new stuff, I keep acquiring music from all over the place and it's amazing how much stuff you pick up and listen to without realising what it is. I quite like their stuff - don't listen to it much as I just tend to click on "shuffle" in itunes and out of the 17000 tracks just picks wierd stuff I've never heard! Thanks for reminding me I'll have to give their stuff a listen once again.

I've had a listen to that track and it's OK - Not sure I'd want to listen to more than a few songs of the same style though as I think I'd get bored. No, bored isn't the right word. Frustrated with it? Bah, not doing well describing what I mean.

I love the new track too
I really liked the first album, played it a lot for a while, had some quite good lyrics in some of the songs. So i'll have to acquire the new album sometime.

Got their first album soon after it came out. Cash Machine just worked on me. Was going to pre-order this when I found out it was nearly time. Bought it from Morrisons for £7 and quite like it. Suburban Knights is my favourite track so far.

Listened to the album a few times now. 'Little Angel' is also brilliant.

Not so much, slightly faster tempo, bit of brass, more of a love song than a political statement.
You can pretty much tell any Hard-Fi song from the style and vocals, but the album is fairly eclectic. There's even one song that could have been written by Noel Gallagher. Very Oasisy.

I might get the second album, first one put me off a bit. The tracks were pretty hit and miss for me, they released the best songs from that one imo, but didnt really leave much for the album.
I'm more likely to have a listen now you've mentioned it though, so we'll see
