Default Wii questions

3 somewhat random questions about the Wii.
1) Regarding the internet, I know/think it works through wi-fi, is there any way to connect it via ethernet cable or basically any method that doesn't involve a wireless router as I don't really want to have a wireless router for one thing.

2) Is it really that useful to have it online?

3) Say if you were on a budget but wanted to occassionally play games like Wii Sports with more than 1 player, how many controllers would you need? And how important is the nunchuck as well as the remote?

Ty

Yep, you can buy a USB ethernet adapter.

Not yet I'd say. VC is nice but you'll prefer XBLA, and the rest is all cute but nothing more really. Online gaming doesn't really exist for it yet.

Most of the sports games can be played in turn using one mote, and the nunchuck is only used for boxing.

Is the USB ethernet adapter the one that works with the DS?
That'd be annoying considering I sold it a month ago :undecided:
Although if the net isn't too vital, I'm sure I could hold off a while.

Ahh nm you've updated your post with the link and it's not.

There's been one here for months!

Although I do keep meaning to set the wii up on the new wireless network...

Cheapest outright price is currently £169.99 at wilkinsons plus online with collection in store (out of stock atm)
Been doing some research for yourself then?

It's something I'm musing over, but for my birthday. Was in Gamestation earlier and my Mum was trying to see what I wanted for my birthday and asked if I was interested in a wii as I was looking at them, hadn't really considered it as I didn't think she was thinking that expensive.
So thought I'd do a bit of research

I did a sort of similar thing when I knew I was going to get a 360 sometime soon, bought the VGA cable ready
Gamestation online seem to have some good deals with games http://www.gamestation.co.uk/cat.asp?cat=wii&t=offers so I'm going to give her that link then let her know the cheapest place for the console and then she can use ebay for a game or two.
I've not really decided due to the price, but she likes having options anyhow

Twilight Princess seems to be going quite cheaply on ebay At least second hand which is what I was looking for.
Only a couple of games I want for it and that's the main one

I've noticed the console's not very well priced on ebay but I wouldn't buy the console off ebay anyway. I like having a receipt for things like that.
