Home made fruit smoothies
So a week or so ago I tried an Innocent Orange, Banana and Pineapple smoothie and really liked it. I have a kind of issue with the textures of fruits, strawberries for example is a big no no. I just end up retching. Mum knows not to make me eat strawberries. Doesn't stop her from trying occasionally though.
I need to improve my diet and get more fruit and veg into my diet. Veg I have a way of working in but fruit is a bit harder because of the textures. If I can make my own fruit smoothies I'll be able to get around this issue. My Mum was quite amazed when she took the bottle away for recycling. She looked at it and then asked if I knew it was a smoothie and did I drink it all. So I'm wondering if the good people of Boat Drinks have any fruit smoothie recipes to hand out. I haven't got a blender yet but will get one soon. I'm a bit of a noob with fruit so I don't know how I'd prepare some stuff. I'd peel oranges and remove the core from apples? |

Hehe thanks Lozza. Like I saw I'm new to this so I've no idea what fruits are good for this or not.

1 banana (or 2 if you want a thicker smoothie)
A handful of frozen summer fruit berry mix (you can get it from Tesco) A large glug of apple juice to get it to whatever consistency you want YUM!

I would love to get back to making smoothies but unfortunately our blender died still haven't got round to getting a new one yet.
We tended to use 1 banana, 1 hand of Tesco frozen summer fruit and half a pint of milk.

In the blender with: 2 bananas, 100ml of pineapple juice, 100ml coconut milk (from a tin)

Haha, glad you remember me. Yep textures are my weakness. Hopefully strawberries blended up should be OK for me. The taste I'm OK with.
