watched this last night and it's bloody brilliant - had us in stitches! I love the way he talks about drugs and his sex addiction. very eloquent, observant and scathing. Definitely a recommended watch

I'm going to jump on the he is probably the least funny person every bandwagon. I just think he has become famous with no real talent at all. Making rude comments and noises and playing up is not funny.

have you even seen his standup? Do you like Lee Evans/Billy Connolly/Ross Noble/any other mainstream comedians? They all make rude comments/noises and play up! Sounds to me like you don't like standup.

How about, after this post - if you haven't seen him but don't like him, reserve judgement until you have. I didn't like him before the standup, but he actually turned out being very good.

I'm going by what i have seen of him on tv presenting and on the radio.
I love stand up, I'm going to see Bill Bailey in November and I'm really looking forward to it. Have also seen Ross Noble's stand up and Billy Connolly. In fact i used to go out with a stand up comedian, so spent far too much time watching a lot of professionals and novices, i know what i find funny.

I was talking about the standup, as stated in the OP. Also, Bill Bailey's jokes are based solely around making funny noises and being stupid. Same with Ross Noble.

No one said you weren't allowed to think what you think, but your justification makes no sense whatsoever. Don't see what having been out with a comedian has to do with it.
