warning ddr memory
Just a warning if any of you were thinking of upgrading in the near future, do it now! Since AM2 is now ddr2 as is conroe, the days of ddr are numbered. The shops are running out of half decent stuff damn fast.
I just managed to nab some mushkin redline from http://pc-memory-upgrade.co.uk/ after my crucial borkex did what it does best. I'll be sticking with my opteron and x1900xtx well into next year as it can run everything thats out at the moment maxxed out |

Hoping to get the SD running at 250X12 and the TCCD, at least, 1:1 at 2-2-2-5. Also ordered an Accelero cooler for the X1900XT to get that clocked up a bit. I also have 2Gb of Mushkin Redline in my collection. I thought it was duff but it turns out it doesn't like my DFI board Works perfectly well in the Asus board with no errors, whereas, in the DFI it was failing test 5 repeatedly Stan

Same here. It would only work in that board on a very low divider - kept getting BSODs otherwise. I put it in the Asus board and it's running away happily at about 270MHz. Put XMS3500LL in the DFI and it worked as it should I've ordered a DFI Ultra D board from the MM as well, so I will try the Redline in that to see if it does the same. Stan

I don't overclock, so having the benefit of such tight timings is the next best thing (yes, I really did notice the difference the tighter timings made).

I can see your point, I will be keeping these at 250mhz running 3-3-2-8 Apparently cas 2.5 is doable at those speeds as well.
Well the borkex has now completly gone, testing them one stick at a time still results in errors. I have some old corsair 3200 xl so I'll see what that can do |

Mine is running 3-3-3-8 at 270MHz. It may do a bit better but I haven't got around to having a proper play with it yet. Stan
