Default Yummy Chinese

Just got back from a birthday meal (sisters) at the Tai Pan in Manchester. Heard a lot of good things about it and was pleased that I finally got to try it for myself.

Absolutely excellent in every way and my surprise taste favourite was the Scallop - really nice flavour that I totally wasn't expecting.

On the whole, the food was excellent as was the service and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone that liked Chinese food

Where is the Tai Pan in Manchester? In January heading over to Huddersfield for a day out with a mate of mine. There is a place called Red Chilli or something in Leeds, going there for a Chinese meal at the end of the day.

Tai Pan is awesome, iirc you take a left at the MMU on Oxford road then a right and it's somewhere on Brook St.

Also in Manchester:

Gaucho Grill
The Great Khathmandu

Marc where abouts are you in Salford?

Yang Sing? Actually, cant remember ever seeing that in the Trafford Centre, but the Yang Sing is supposedly absolutely phenominal.

To get to the Tai Pan from here you head onto the A57M and take the A34 exit and its just past the Ferrari dealership on the left, above the Chinese supermarket

Went to the one one Birmingham ( assume it was the same chain, down Brindley Place ) thought it was very average and very overpriced for the standard, maybe that is just a bad one

/edit

ignore the above as I am talking bollocks

research says the one I went to was called TinTin, that will explain why the one you went to was good and the one I went to was ****e
